The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application [PDF: 17 KB] from Qantas seeking an allocation of 696 seats per week on the Fiji route. Qantas has also sought for the capacity to be able to be used: (1) by Qantas or another Australian carrier which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qantas; and (2) for the provision of joint services between Qantas and any wholly-owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group.

On 10 August 2018, the International Air Services Commission received an application from Virgin Australia seeking to vary multiple determinations to transfer the capacity allocations from Virgin Australia Airlines (SE Asia) Pty Limited (VAASEA) to Virgin Australia International Airlines Pty Limited (VAIA):
On 27 November 2018, Virgin Australia wrote to the Commission [PDF: 591 KB] to clarify that it wishes to retain the existing conditions in the determinations, in particular the permission for the use of the capacity for the provision of code share services with certain specified airlines. These determinations to be varied are listed below:

It is proposed that WestJet will offer code share services on flights operated by Qantas on the USA route from 1 December 2018.

It is proposed that WestJet will offer code share services on flights operated by Qantas on the Canada route from 1 December 2018.

Qantas has also sought for the capacity to be able to be used: (1) by Qantas or another Australian carrier which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qantas; (2) for the provision of joint services between Qantas and any wholly-owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group; and (3) for Jetstar to be able to provide joint services with Emirates.

Notice on Transfer Applications - 10 August 2018
The Commission has received multiple applications [PDF: 629 KB] from Virgin Australia requesting to vary each of the following determinations to transfer to Virgin Australia International Airlines Pty Ltd (VIVA) the capacity currently allocated to Virgin Australia Airlines (SE Asia) Pty Ltd (VAASEA), with effect from 1 October 2018. Virgin Australia has also requested that each determination is varied to authorise the use of the capacity by VAIA's wholly-owned subsidiary, Tiger International Number1 Pty Ltd.
