The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application [PDF: 22 KB] from Qantas seeking an allocation of 204 seats per week on the Cook Island route. Qantas has also sought for the capacity to be able to be used by Qantas or another Australian carrier which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qantas.
In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.
The closing date for making an application is 15 August 2018. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.
Update: 17-August-2018
On 17 August 2018, the delegate of the Commission issued Determination [2018] IASC 115, allocating to Qantas 204 seats per week in each direction on the Cook Island route. The capacity may be used by either Qantas or its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jetstar Airways Pty Limited. The determination is valid for five years from 17 August 2018.
