The Commission has received an application  [PDF: 73 KB]  from Qantas for an allocation of fourteen frequencies per week on the United Arab Emirates route. Qantas plans to operate daily services from both Sydney and Melbourne to London, via Dubai. Other applications for the capacity are invited.

This is intended to replace the determinations currently held on the route. On the Bangladesh route Virgin Australia have applied to vary Determination [2011] IASC 122 to remove provisions for Etihad Airways to code share on Virgin Australia International Airlines services and add provisions to provide joint services with Singapore Airlines.

On the Thailand route Virgin Australia have applied to vary Determination [2010] IASC 119 to remove provisions for Etihad Airways to code share on Virgin Australia International Airlines services and add provisions to provide joint services with Singapore Airlines.
