The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application  [PDF: 52 KB]   from Qantas seeking an allocation of 1,260 seats per week on the Indonesia route, to be used by 1 August 2018. Qantas plans to commence a daily service between Melbourne and Denpasar.

In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.

The closing date for making an application is 21 February 2018. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.

Update: 23-February-2018

On 22 February 2018, the Commission issued Determination [2018] IASC 104 allocating to Qantas 1,260 seats per week in each direction of passenger capacity on the Indonesia route. The capacity may be used by Qantas or another Australian carrier which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qantas.  The determination is valid for five years.
