Cook Islands – 2 December 2022
The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application PDF: 319 KB from Qantas requesting an allocation of 464 seats of passenger capacity per week on the Cook Islands route. The capacity will be utilised by Qantas’ wholly-owned subsidiary Jetstar Airways Pty Limited. It is planned that Jetstar will operate 2 frequencies per week between Sydney and Rarotonga from 29 June 2023. Qantas requested the capacity on the following basis:
New Zealand -28 November 2022
The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application PDF: 214 KB from Virgin Australia to vary Determination [2017] IASC 113 on the New Zealand route to permit the use of capacity for the provision of code share services with Qatar Airways; and to remove the conditions permitting the use of the capacity to code share with Delta Air Lines, Air Berlin, Hong Kong Airlines, Air New Zealand, Alitalia (now ITA Airways) and Hainan Airlines.

South Korea – 19 April 2022
The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application PDF: 305 KB from Qantas requesting an allocation of 2,193 seats on the South Korea route. The capacity will be utilised by Qantas and its wholly-owned subsidiary Jetstar Airways Pty Limited. It is planned that Jetstar will operate 3 frequencies per week between Sydney and Seoul (Incheon) from 2 November 2022 and Qantas will operate 4 frequencies per week between Sydney and Seoul (Incheon) from 10 December 2022.
