The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application [PDF: 102 KB] from Qantas seeking to vary Determinations [2016] IASC 110, and [2014] IASC 105 as varied, to permit the capacity to be used for code share services with Air Niugini for the duration of the determinations.
In accordance with section 22 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites submissions about the application.
The closing date for making a submission is 2 March 2018. If you are intending to make a submission, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make a submission as soon as possible.

On 30 April 2018 the Commission issued Draft Decisions [2018] IASC 210d and [2018] IASC 211d [PDF: 862 KB] proposing not to permit Qantas to code share with Air Niugini on the PNG route.
The Commission invites submissions about the Draft Decisions. The closing date for making a submission is 14 May 2018. If you are intending to make a submission, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission by email (iasc@infrastructure.gov.au) of your intention to make a submission as soon as possible.

On 15 May 2018, Qantas withdrew its application to permit the use of its capacity allocation on the Papua New Guinea route for code share services with Air Niugini.
