The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application [PDF: 70 KB] from Qantas seeking to vary Determination [2014] IASC 113 (as varied) to permit the use of the capacity for the provision of code share services with WestJet Airlines on the Canada route. It is proposed that WestJet will offer code share services on flights operated by Qantas on the Canada route from 1 December 2018.
Invitation for submissions
In accordance with section 22 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites submissions about the transfer application.
The closing date for making a submission is 9 November 2018. If you are intending to make an application or submission, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au ), of your intention to make a submission as soon as possible.
Update: 12-November-2018
On 12 November 2018 the delegate of the Commission issued Decision [2018] IASC 238, which varies Determination [2014] IASC 113 to permit the use of the capacity on the Canada route for code sharing between Qantas and WestJet Airlines. The permission is valid for the duration of the determination commencing from 12 November 2018.
