The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application PDF: 323 KB from Virgin Australia seeking to renew Determination [2017] IASC 105 which allocates 400 seats of passenger capacity per week in each direction on the Singapore route to be used to exercise own stop-over rights between Singapore and Colombo and permits code share on services operated by Singapore Airlines to Colombo via Singapore.
Invitation for other applications
In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.
The closing date for making an application is 28 January 2022. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.
Update: 11-February-2022
On 11 February 2021, the Commission issued Renewal Determination [2022] IASC 105 PDF: 148 KB allocating to Virgin Australia 400 seats on the Singapore route to be used to exercise own stop-over rights between Singapore and Colombo. The determination permits code share on services operated by Singapore Airlines to Colombo via Singapore. The determination is valid for five years from 28 March 2023.
