The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application PDF: 305 KB from Qantas requesting an allocation of 2,193 seats on the South Korea route. The capacity will be utilised by Qantas and its wholly-owned subsidiary Jetstar Airways Pty Limited. It is planned that Jetstar will operate 3 frequencies per week between Sydney and Seoul (Incheon) from 2 November 2022 and Qantas will operate 4 frequencies per week between Sydney and Seoul (Incheon) from 10 December 2022.
Invitation for other applications
In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.
The closing date for making an application is 3 May 2022. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.

On 10 March 2022, the Commission issued Determination [2022] IASC 113 PDF: 177 KB allocating to Qantas 2,193 seats of passenger capacity per week in each direction on the South Korean route. The determination is valid for 5 years from 10 May 2022
