The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application PDF: 206 KB from Virgin Australia seeking to vary Determination [2018] IASC 110 on the Indonesia route to permit the use of capacity for the provision of code share services with Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines.

As part of its application, Virgin Australia is also seeking to vary Determinations [2018] IASC 110, [2017] IASC 132 and [2017] IASC 133 on the Indonesia route to remove the conditions permitting the use of the capacity to code share with Delta Air Lines.

Invitation for submissions

In accordance with section 22 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites submissions about the transfer application.

The closing date for making a submission is 12 December 2022. If you are intending to make a submission, please inform the Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make a submission as soon as possible.

On 16 December 2022, the Commission issued Decision [2022] IASC 221 PDF: 200 KB, varying Determination [2018] IASC 110 to permit Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines to code share on Virgin Australia services on the Indonesia route. Decision [2022] IASC 221 also varies determinations [2018] IASC 110, [2017] IASC 132 and [2017] IASC 133 to remove the conditions that permit the capacity to be used by Virgin Australia to provide code share services with Delta Air Lines.
