The Commission has received an application [PDF: 67 KB] from Qantas seeking a variation to Determination [2007] IASC 116 to permit Finnair to code share on Qantas operated services between Australia and Singapore. Qantas has also sought an allocation of 14 frequencies per week to enable Qantas to code share on Finnair’s Bangkok-Helsinki and Singapore-Helsinki services. Applications and submissions about the applications are invited.
The closing date for notice of intention to make an application or submission is COB 20 January 2011, with applications or submissions due by COB 27 January 2011. If no notice of intention is received by COB 20 January 2011, the Commission may proceed to decide matters under consideration as soon as practicable after that date.

On 24 January 2011, the Commission issued Decision [2011] IASC 202 [PDF: 93 KB] , varying Determination [2007] IASC 116 to permit Finnair to code share on Qantas services. The Commission also issued Determination [2011] IASC 101 [PDF: 93 KB] allocating fourteen weekly third-party code share services in each direction on the Thailand route.
