- Japan
The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) wishes to advise that one (1) daily frequency is now available for allocation on the Japan route, to service Tokyo (Haneda) Airport. The capacity is available to be utilised from 25 February 2025.
Application process
In order for an Australian airline to be awarded the relevant slot to operate to Tokyo (Haneda) Airport in the 2025 Northern Summer IATA scheduling period, the Commission is working towards allocating the one (1) daily frequency by 10 October 2024.
The Commission considers it necessary to expedite the application process to meet these timeframes. The Commission has therefore decided to shorten the notification/consultation period for applications received, as set out in the administrative procedures, to five business days (instead of 10 business days).
Airlines seeking to apply for capacity on the Japan route to operate to Tokyo (Haneda) Airport are advised to provide the Commission with all relevant information to support their application as outlined in the Procedures for Handling Application for capacity (Requirements for applications and submissions refers).
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Director of the Commission on (02) 6267 1100 or by email at contact@iasc.gov.au .
