The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application from Qantas seeking to vary Determination [2023] IASC 133, on the Canada route, to change the capacity allocated from 708 seats to three services per week.
Qantas is also seeking to vary its capacity allocations on the Chile route, to change the capacity allocated from 1,847 seats to seven services per week.
The Commission notes this request is in response to the recent updates to Australia's bilateral air services agreements with both Canada and Chile.
Invitation for Submissions
In accordance with section 22 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites submissions about the variation application.
The closing date for making a submission is 11 December 2024. If you are intending to make a submission, please inform the Director of the Commission, by email (at contact@iasc.gov.au), of your intention as soon as possible.

On 23 December 2024, the Commission issued Decision [2024] IASC 212, varying Determination [2023] IASC 133 to change the capacity allocated to Qantas on the Australia-Canada route from 708 seats to three services per week.

On 17 January 2025, the Commission issued Decision [2024] IASC 211, varying Determination [2019] 115 and its renewal Determination [2024] IASC 125 to change the capacity allocated to Qantas on the Australia-Chile route from 1,847 seats to 7 services per week.
