The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application

from Qantas requesting to renew:

  • Determination [2019] IASC 118, which allocates to Qantas one daily frequency in each direction to operate passenger services on the Japan route to service Tokyo-Haneda, subject to certain conditions; and
     
  • Determination [2019] IASC 102 which allocates to Qantas seven frequencies per week in each direction to operate passenger services on the Japan route to service Tokyo-Haneda, subject to certain conditions. 

Invitation for other applications

In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.

The closing date for making an application is 15 March 2024. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), as soon as possible.

Update: 17-April-2024

On 16 April 2024, the Commission issued:    

  • Determination [2024] IASC 107, renewing Determinations [2019] IASC 102 which allocates to Qantas seven frequencies per week to service Tokyo Haneda Airport.
  • Determination [2024] IASC 108, renewing Determinations [2019] IASC 118 which allocates to Qantas one daily frequency to service Tokyo Haneda Airport.
