The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application

from Qantas seeking to renew Determination [2020] IASC 101, which allocates 670 seats per week on the Indonesia route, for a period of five years.  Qantas requests that all existing conditions be retained. 

As part of its application, Qantas has also sought to vary the determination to permit KLM Royal Dutch Airlines to code share on Jetstar services between Australia and Indonesia.

Invitation for other applications for capacity and submissions about the transfer application

In accordance with section 12 of the IASC Act 1992 (the IASC Act), the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.

In relation to the variation of conditions, in accordance with section 22 of the IASC Act, the Commission invites submissions about the transfer application. 

The closing date for making an application and/or submission is 4 March 2024. 

If you are intending to make an application and/or submission, please inform the Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), as soon as possible.
 

Update: 08-April-2024

On 5 April 2024, the Commission issued Decision [2024] IASC 103, varying Determination [2020] IASC 101 to permit code sharing between Jetstar and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, subject to certain conditions. 

Update: 17-April-2024

On 15 April 2024, the Commission issued Determination [2024] IASC 110, renewing Determination [2020] IASC 101 which allocates to Qantas 670 seats of passenger capacity per week on the Indonesia route, subject to certain conditions.
