The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application
from Qantas requesting 2 units of capacity per week on France Route 1. It is planned that Qantas will operate services between Perth and Paris four days per week during the peak European summer, moving to three days per week from mid-August 2024. The services will be operated using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft configured with 236 seats.
Invitation for other applications
In accordance with Section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.
The closing date for making an application is 20 November 2023. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au) as soon as possible.
Update: 30-November-2023
On 29 November 2023, the Commission issued Determination [2023] IASC 134, allocating to Qantas Airways Limited two (2) units of capacity per week in each direction on France-Route 1. The determination is valid for five years from 29 November 2023.
