The Commission has received an application
from Virgin Australia seeking to renew Determinations [2017] IASC 132 and [2017] IASC 133 which allocate 1,260 seats per week and 692 seats per week respectively on the Indonesia route, for a period of five years. Virgin requests that all existing conditions be retained.
Invitation for other applications
In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.
The closing date for making an application is 16 March 2023. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), as soon as possible.
Update: 17-April-2023
On 14 April 2023 the Commission issued Renewal Determination [2023] IASC 113 allocating to Virgin Australia 1,260 seats per week on the Indonesia route, subject to certain conditions. The capacity may be used by Virgin Australia to provide code share services with Qatar Airways, and Singapore Airlines. The determination is valid for five years from 25 October 2023.
On 14 April 2023 the Commission issued Renewal Determination [2023] IASC 114 allocating to Virgin Australia 692 seats per week on the Indonesia route, subject to certain conditions. The capacity may be used by Virgin Australia to provide code share services with Qatar Airways, and Singapore Airlines. The determination is valid for five years from 8 October 2023.
