The International Air Services Commission has received an application

from Qantas seeking to renew Determination [2014] IASC 102, which allocates unlimited freight and passenger capacity on the New Zealand route, and permission for joint services with various airlines, subject to certain conditions. 

Invitation for other applications

In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.

The closing date for making an application is 6 July 2023. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), as soon as possible.
 

Update: 06-December-2023

On 6 December 2023, the Commission issued Determination [2023] IASC 123, renewing Determination [2014] IASC 102, allocating to Qantas unlimited freight and passenger capacity on the New Zealand route, and permission for Qantas to offer code share services with several airlines, subject to certain conditions. The capacity may also be used by Qantas’ wholly-owned subsidiary, Jetstar Airways Pty Limited (Jetstar) and for Jetstar to offer code share services with several airlines, subject to certain conditions.
