The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application PDF: 738.24 KB from Virgin Australia seeking to renew Determination [2014] IASC 117 which allocates seven third party code share frequencies per week in each direction on the Thailand route.

Invitation for other applications

In accordance with sections 12 and 17 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for the capacity.

The closing date for making an application is 8 November 2019. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.

Update: 02-December-2019

On 28 November 2019 the Commission issued Renewal Determination [2019] IASC 125, re-allocating to Virgin Australia International Airlines Pty Ltd (VAIA) seven third party code share frequencies per week in each direction on the Thailand route. The fresh determination permits the capacity to be used by VAIA for the provision of code share services with Singapore Airlines and SilkAir and is valid for five years from 25 October 2020.
