The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application PDF: 738.24 KB from Virgin Australia seeking to renew Determination [2014] IASC 119 which allocates five frequencies per week in each direction on the Bangladesh route.
Invitation for other applications
In accordance with sections 12 and 17 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for the capacity.
The closing date for making an application is 8 November 2019. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.
Update: 02-December-2019
On 28 November 2019 the Commission issued Renewal Determination [2019] IASC 122, re-allocating to Virgin Australia five frequencies per week of capacity in each direction on the Bangladesh route. Virgin Australia is also permitted to use the capacity to provide services jointly with Singapore Airlines. The determination is valid for five years from 25 October 2020.
