The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application [PDF: 158 KB] from Qantas from Qantas seeking the additional allocation of 284 seats per week in each direction on the Indonesia route.
Invitation for other applications
In accordance with sections 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for the capacity.
The closing date for making an application is 21 March 2019. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.
Update: 26-March-2019
On 25 March 2019, the delegate of the Commission issued Determination [2019] IASC 106, allocating to Qantas 284 seats per week of capacity in each direction on the Indonesia route. The capacity may be used by either Qantas or its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jetstar Airways Pty Limited, and may be used by Qantas to provide joint services with any wholly-owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group. The determination is valid for five years from 25 March 2019.
