The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application [PDF: 652 KB]   from Virgin Australia seeking to renew Determination [2013] IASC 111, which allocates 180 seats of capacity in each direction on the Cook Islands route. Virgin Australia is seeking the renewal of the capacity allocation for a further period of five years from 12 September 2018, and to retain all relevant current conditions.

In accordance with sections 12 and 17 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.

The closing date for making an application is 6 October 2017. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.

Update: 17-October-2017

On 17 October 2017, the Commission issued Determination [2017] IASC 125 [PDF: 1578 KB]   making a fresh allocation of 180 weekly seats in each direction in favour of Virgin Australia Airlines (SE Asia) Pty Ltd on the Cook Islands route. The determination is valid for five years from 12 September 2018.
