The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application [PDF: 178 KB]   from Qantas Airways Ltd seeking to renew Determination [2008] IASC 103, which allocates unlimited passenger and cargo capacity on the USA route. Qantas is seeking the renewal of the capacity allocation for a further period of 10 years from 2 April 2018, subject to the inclusion of certain conditions.

In accordance with sections 12 and 17 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.

The closing date for making an application is 8 June 2017. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.

Update: 09-June-2017

On 9 June 2017, the delegate of the Commission issued Renewal Determination [2017] IASC 110 [PDF: 1486 KB]  , allocating to Qantas unlimited passenger and cargo capacity to operate scheduled services between Australia and the United States of America.  The determination is valid for ten years from 2 April 2018.
