The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application [PDF: 38 KB] from Qantas seeking to renew Determination [2011] IASC 123, which allocates 35.6 B747 equivalent units of capacity per week in each direction for passenger services and 26 third country code share frequencies per week in each direction to Qantas on the Thailand route. Qantas also sought to retain the existing code share conditions.
In accordance with sections 12 and 17 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.
The closing date for making an application is 24 May 2017. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.

On 7 June 2017, the Commission issued Renewal Determination [2017] IASC 108 [PDF: 1791 KB] , allocating to Qantas 35.6 B747 equivalent units and 26 third country code share frequencies of passenger capacity per week on the Thailand route. The determination is valid for five years from 1 July 2018.
