On 18 May 2017, the International Air Services Commission (the Commission) received an application [PDF: 654 KB] from Virgin Australia requesting a variation of Determination [2007] IASC 118, as amended by decisions [2009] IASC 201, [2010] IASC 208, [2011] IASC 201, [2011] IASC 210, [2012] IASC 219, [2016] IASC 217, [2016] IASC 218 and [2017] IASC 207, to permit the use of the capacity to be used for code share services with Hong Kong Airlines on the New Zealand route.
In accordance with section 22 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites submissions about the application.
The closing date for making a submission is 31 May 2017. If you are intending to make a submission, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make a submission as soon as possible.
Update: 07-June-2017
On 7 June 2017, the Commission issued Decision [2017] IASC 211 [PDF: 1385 KB] , varying Determination [2007] IASC 118 to permit the use of capacity allocated on the New Zealand route to be used for code sharing between Virgin Australia and Hong Kong Airlines. The permission is valid for the duration of the determination.
