The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application [PDF: 390 KB] from Virgin Australia seeking to renew Determination [2013] IASC 121, which allocates 400 seats per week of capacity for own stopover traffic between Singapore and Colombo.
In accordance with sections 12 and 17 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.
The closing date for making an application is 14 April 2017. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.
Update: 27-April-2017
On 27 April 2017, the Commission issued Renewal Determination [2017] IASC 105 [PDF: 194 KB] , allocating to Virgin Australia 400 seats per week of capacity on the Singapore route to be used to exercise own stop-over rights between Singapore and Colombo. The determination permits Virgin Australia to code share on services operated by Singapore Airlines to Colombo via Singapore. The determination is valid for five years from 28 March 2018.
