The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application  [PDF: 408 KB]   from Virgin Australia International Airlines seeking the allocation of 880 seats per week of passenger capacity on the Samoa route.

In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.

The closing date for making an application is 25 July 2017. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.

Update: 04-August-2017

The Commission received further information from the applicant nominating Tiger International Number1 Pty Ltd as the wholly-owned subsidiary of Virgin Australia International Airlines (VAIA).

Update: 10-August-2017

On 10 August 2017 the Commissions delegate issued Determination [2017] IASC 120 [PDF: 204 KB]   allocating to Virgin Australia 880 seats of capacity per week on the Samoa route. The determination is valid for five years from 10 August 2017.
