The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application [PDF: 58 KB] from Qantas Airlines seeking an allocation of 300 third country seats per week, to be used to code share with Emirates on the Italy route.
In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.
The closing date for making an application is 26 July 2017. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.

The Commission received further information from the applicant nominating Jetstar Airways Pty Limited as the wholly-owned subsidiary of Qantas.
Update: 31-August-2017
On 31 August 2017 the Commission issued Determination [2017] IASC 118 [PDF: 322 KB] allocating to Qantas 300 third country code share seats per week on the Italy route for code share services with Emirates. The capacity may also be used by another Australian carrier which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qantas. The determination is for five years from 31 August 2017.
