The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application [PDF: 247 KB] from Norfolk Island Airlines seeking unlimited capacity on the New Zealand route. The carrier proposes to operate two regular services per week between Norfolk Island and Auckland commencing from 27 May 2017.
In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.
The closing date for making an application is 31 January 2017. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.
Update: 13-February-2017
On 10 February 2017, the Commission issued Interim Determination [2017] IASC 101 [PDF: 1379 KB] , allocating to Norfolk Island Airlines unlimited capacity to operate scheduled passenger services between Australia and New Zealand. The interim determination is valid for three years.
