The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application  [PDF: 80 KB] from Qantas seeking to vary Determination [2011] IASC 123, which allocates 35.6 B747 equivalent units of capacity per week and 26 third country code share frequencies per week on the Thailand route, to permit Jet Airways to code share on Qantas operated services.

Qantas and Jet Airways plan to code share on the Thailand route, whereby Jet Airways will code share on Qantas services between Bangkok and Sydney and Qantas will place its code on Jet Airways' services between Bangkok and Mumbai/New Delhi.

In accordance with section 22 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites submissions on the Qantas application.

The closing date for making a submission is 21 September 2016, Wednesday.

If you are intending to make a submission, please inform, by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au), the Executive Director of the Commission of your intention to make a submission as soon as practicable.

On 22 September 2016, the Commission's delegate issued Decision [2016] IASC 219  [PDF: 1170 KB]   varying Determination [2011] IASC 123 to permit the use of the capacity for code share services between Qantas and Jet Airways on the Thailand route.
