International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received applications [PDF: 328 KB]   from Virgin Australia to vary Determinations [2011] IASC 115 and [2013] IASC 133 to permit the use of the capacity for code share services with Singapore Airlines on the Solomon Islands route.

In accordance with section 22 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites submissions about the proposed variations.

The closing date for making a submission is 9 May 2016, Monday.

If you are intending to make a submission, please inform, by email, the Executive Director of the Commission of your intention to make a submission as soon as practicable.

Update: 16-May-2016

On 16 May 2016, the Commission’s delegate issued the following decisions:

  • [2016] IASC 204 [PDF: 1096 KB]   varying Determination [2013] IASC 133.

The decisions provide permission for Virgin Australia to use the capacity allocated on the Solomon Islands route for code share services with Singapore Airlines to be conducted in accordance with the air services arrangements between Australia and the Solomon Islands and Singapore.
