The International Air Services Commission has received an application [PDF: 171 KB]   from Qantas seeking a renewal of Determination [2011] IASC 106 which allocates 2121 seats of capacity per week in each direction on the Taiwan route. Qantas is seeking to vary the Determination to hand back 861 seats and retain 1,260 seats for a further five-year period from 7 June 2016.

The Determination is due to expire on 6 June 2016. In accordance with sections 12 and 17 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for the capacity.

The closing date for notice of intention to make an application is COB (i.e. 5pm) on 26 June 2015, with the application due by COB 3 July 2015. If no notice of intention is received by COB 26 June 2015, the Commission may proceed to make a decision.

On 14 July 2015, the Commission’s delegate issued Renewal Determination [2015] IASC 106 [PDF: 1060 KB]   allocating 1,260 seats of capacity per week on the Taiwan route in favour of Qantas Airways Limited.
