Software

This page is designed to assist you in navigating the International Air Services Commission (IASC) Website.

The International Air Services Commission is predominantly text-based and optimized for viewing at 1024 x 768 resolution with at least 256 colours (every effort is made to ensure legibility at 1024 x 768 resolution).

A frames-compatible browser is required for some websites hosted by the International Air Services Commission and some areas use Java applets and JavaScript.

From the IASC's homepage you can either use the structured links to browse through our site, or you can use the search engine to assist in locating information.

Contact details for the IASC are provided through the Government Online Directory, and also on our Contact Us page listed under Utilites at the foot of each page.

Navigation

The Navigation Area allows you to browse through the site by dividing it into collections of related information. It provides a home page for the selected collection with links to news items, programs, grants, services and so forth, as appropriate for that area.

As you hover over links, drop-down menus will appear with links directly to the sub-sections available in that collection.

Quick Search

Each page of the IASC's website has a quick search tool enabling you to search on keywords from anywhere on the site. This will take you to the Search screen (with the search criteria specified for a Keyword search on the entered words), and the results for that search will be displayed. You can now use the search page as you wish - refining or widening the search or selecting an item of the Search Results.

Font size adjustment

These buttons appear on all pages, at the top right of the page, and allow you to adjust the font size, making the text of the page larger or smaller.

Adobe Acrobat

Get Adobe ReaderA standard for viewing formatted documents which have been optimised for delivery via electronic means. The free Adobe Acrobat Reader allows you to view, navigate and print PDF files across many different platforms. PDF files look exactly like the original document.

To use Acrobat Reader with your web browser you need to first download the Acrobat Reader from Adobe's Website and install it on your computer.

Microsoft Word

Get Word ViewerA standard for viewing DOC, RTF and TXT files. To view a Microsoft Word file, you need to have Microsoft Word or Word Viewer installed on the computer. If you do not have the necessary software installed, you can download Microsoft Word Viewer free of charge from the Microsoft website.

Microsoft Excel

Get Excel ViewerA standard for viewing XLS Files. To view a Microsoft Excel file, you need to have Microsoft Excel or Excel Viewer installed on the computer. If you do not have the necessary software installed, you can download Microsoft Excel Viewer free of charge from the Microsoft website.

Microsoft PowerPoint

Get PowerPoint ViewerA standard for playing PowerPoint presentations (PPT) which have been optimised for delivery via electronic means.

To play a presentation, you need to have a PowerPoint viewer installed on the computer. If you do not have the necessary software installed, you can download Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer free of charge from the Microsoft website.

Windows Media Player

Get Media PlayerA standard for playing multimedia files of various formats (MP3, WAV, MPEG, WMV etc.) which have been optimised for delivery via electronic means.

To play an audio or video file, you need to have a media player installed on the computer. If you do not have the necessary software installed, you can download Microsoft Windows Media Player free of charge from the Microsoft website.

VLC Media Player

Get VLCTo play an MP4, MPG file or AVI, you need to have a media player installed on the computer. If you do not have the necessary software installed, you can download VLC media player free of charge from the VideoLAN website.

Please note that some AVI videos require the Divx codec.

Winzip

Get WinzipA standard for online data delivery, Winzip allows large files (or file sets) to be "compressed" to expedite delivery via electronic means. The ZIP file is downloaded (more quickly) by a user, then it is "de-compressed" to re-create the original file.

To get the Winzip Program you need to go to Winzip's Website.
